Tips on Renting a Limo For Your Bachelorette Party

A bachelorette party is one of those few times in a girl's life where you have an excuse to ride in a limo. If you haven't rented a limo before, or at least not since prom, check out these tips to make the rental process nice and smooth!

Book Your Bachelorette Limo Early

As soon as you know the date of the event, start calling limo companies to book your ride. If you're planning an event on a Saturday in the spring or summer, you'll be up against Prom and Wedding rentals, so you may need to call at least 2 months in advance. Off-season and weekday rentals will be easier to get (and may be cheaper as well!).

Plan Out Your Route in Advance

You will be asked where you want the limo, and where you'll be going with the limo when you reserve it. Have an idea of what you'll be doing with the limo and how long you'll need it. Limos will have several hour minimums for the rental (that can be as high as 6-8 hours during prom season) --make sure you'll get the most out of what you're paying for!

Don't Always Go for the Cheapest Option

Each limo (and rental package) will be a bit different. Listen to the options and ask questions. How old is the limo? What color is it? How many can it seat? The cheapest limo may be older or may not be able to seat everyone. The cheapest limo company may not be licensed or as reliable as others. When in doubt, check Yelp and other review sites before placing your order.

Ask What the Rental Includes

When you rent a limo, you're not just paying for the limo itself. You're paying for gas, parking, tolls, cleaning fees, the driver, etc. Ask for a breakdown of what your cost includes and make sure there aren't any hidden surprises!

Stock Your Own Limo

Ask the company if their limos come stocked with ice/ice buckets. Ask them not to put their own products in, and instead, bring your own champagne, water, and other drinks. They'll charge you way more than that bottle of champagne costs in the store!

Don't Forget to Tip!

It's customary to tip your driver 20% at the end of the night. Plan out the tip in advance and stick it in a separate envelope so you're not scrambling to find the cash at the end of your party.

Now you just have to practice your slide in and out of the limo, so you avoid any wardrobe malfunctions!
